From Waste Fiber to New Packaging: Circular Economy at Indah Kiat Serang

Serang — PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Tbk. Serang Mill is strengthening its circular economy practices by reintegrating recovered materials into its production processes. Paper waste generated from manufacturing activities, such as trimming and broke, together with collected used carton boxes, is reprocessed through a repulping process and converted into raw materials for paper and packaging products. The reuse of production paper scraps, recovered carton boxes, and energy generated from waste treatment enhances resource efficiency while supporting customers’ growing demand for more sustainable packaging solutions.
