As part of a multi-national company of Asia Pulp & Paper (APP) Sinar Mas, Indah Kiat Serang is one of the biggest paper packaging company located in Serang, Banten Province, Indonesia. It is located about 60 km from Jakarta (the capital city of Indonesia). Indah Kiat Serang was established in 1991 acquired by PT. Sinar Dunia Makmur. Currently, the company operates two groups of paper machines; four machines produce Industrial Brown Paperboard with the capacity 1.400.000 metric tons and the other two white grade machines capacity 600.000 metric tons produce Industrial White Paperboard. Indah Kiat Serang also has Converting Plant producing converted product and Folding Boxes used as packaging for wide variety of products. The mill’s annual production capacity is 2.000.000 metric tons of paperboard and 256.000 metric tons for converted product and folding boxes.

Indah Kiat Serang obtains various certifications that provide third-party verification for its commitment to efficient and sustainable operations. The company consistently develops eco-friendly product which is recyclable, biodegradable, and compostable to reduce packaging waste and innovates product that have good impact for environment.

Line Of Bussines 

 

 

Industrial White Paperboard 

The facility owns 2 units of four layers paper machine with the total capacity is 600.000 MT/year. The product types are Solid Bleach Board, Ivory (GC1),C1S and C2S, Triplex (GT) & Duplex (GD) board available in sheet and roll.

Industrial Brown Paperboard 

The facility owns 4 units of brown paper production with total capacity is 1.400.000 Mt/year. The product types are White Top Test Liner, Test Liner, and Fluting Medium available in roll.

Corrugated Carton Box 

The facility has 3 plants of corrugated box production with total capacity is 19.000 MT/month. The product types are corrugated sheet (Single Wall, Double Wall, and Single Face) and Corrugated Carton Box (A1, Top Bottom, Die Cut box, etc). Indah Kiat Serang plant is the biggest capacity of APP Sinarmas’ Corrugated Carton Box Business Unit.

 

Offset Printing & Packaging  

The offset printing facility is the biggest production capacity in Indonesia. The product types are Folding Box and Single Face Box used as industrial box, electronic, household care, personal care, FMCG goods, etc. The facility also invests Food Service Packaging machines producing food tray, lunch box, burger, hot dog, and take away box.

History

History

Indah Kiat Serang is one of the biggest paper packaging companies located in Serang, Banten Province, Indonesia. The 550 hectare facility is strategically located close to reliable distribution hub, the seaport. Indah Kiat Serang was established in 1991, to provide solution for all paper and board packaging needs. We operate two groups of paper machines; four machine produce brown/industrial paperboard and the other two white grade machines carry out coated white paperboard. In addition to paper manufacturing, Indah Kiat Serang also have our own Converting Plant producing Converted product and Folding Boxes which are used as packaging for wide variety of products. Our products are distributed all over the world, including to Asia, North and South America, Australia, Africa, and also Europe.

The Mill aggregate annual production capacity is approximately 2.000.000 metric tons of paperboard and 256.000 metric tons for converted product and folding boxes.

Indah Kiat Serang applies in advanced waste-water treatment technology, which reduce both emissions and energy consumption. Currently applying for recognition as a Clean Development Mechanism. Commited to preserving the environment and to contribute to the fight against global warming, Indah Kiat Serang's environmentally friendly operations are complemented with an extensive tree planting program for the mill and it's vicinity. Exellent quality, on time delivery and after sales service are the key factors for the Serang Mill to become a leader in Industrial Paper & Packaging board markets.
